A recent published study revealed that our skin can do so much more than we once imagined. Illinois Was The First in the World to Ban This!

Illinois made news and history recently by being the first municipality in the world to ban products containing exfoliating microbeads, which are typically made from plastic. Four other states are expected to follow suit. The sale of facial exfoliators, hand sanitizers, toothpaste and body scrubs containing these plastic pollutants will be prohibited in Illinois by 2019. While environmentalists are encouraged that these bans are swiftly making their way through state legislatures, they are concerned by Illinois' far off deadline.
